Start with the serving size
A bottle count tells you how many capsules or gummies are supplied. The ingredient table may state amounts per capsule or per serving. The directions then explain how that product is intended to be used.
Distinguish the source from the nutrient
A mineral compound's weight is different from its elemental mineral amount. For example, magnesium citrate and equivalent magnesium should not be added together as separate amounts. The same principle applies when a vitamin is listed with its source material.
Review the whole routine
Combine the information from all supplements you use to check for repeated nutrients. Higher amounts are not automatically more suitable. A clinician or pharmacist can help evaluate your diet, medicines and specific needs.
Follow the supplied directions
Use the label for the version supplied in your market, including warnings and allergen information. Do not increase a dose to reproduce a research protocol.
