Active-form folate and vitamin B12 with vitamin B6 and betaine—nutrients involved in normal homocysteine metabolism. Lowering a laboratory homocysteine value is not the same as preventing cardiovascular disease.

Formula overview
Targeted nutrients for homocysteine metabolism
The two-capsule serving combines Quatrefolic 5-MTHF, methylcobalamin, vitamin B6 and 1,000 mg betaine with riboflavin, choline and magnesium. These nutrients participate in one-carbon and homocysteine metabolism.
Quatrefolic® 5-MTHF
Provides 1,360 mcg DFE of folate in a methylated form.
1,000 mg betaine
Betaine participates in an alternate pathway that remethylates homocysteine.
B2 + B6 + B12
Cofactors involved in normal amino-acid and homocysteine metabolism.
Evidence, in context
What research supports—and where the limits are
Homocysteine can be lowered
Folate and vitamin B12 supplements can lower blood homocysteine. A 12-week randomized trial using 1 g betaine with lower-dose B vitamins also reduced homocysteine versus placebo.
A biomarker is not a disease outcome
NIH notes that folic acid and vitamin B12 can lower homocysteine yet have not been shown to reduce overall cardiovascular disease risk. This formula must not be presented as preventing heart attack, cancer, dementia, diabetes or stroke.
Vitamin B6 deserves attention
The serving supplies 50 mg vitamin B6. Safety limits differ by authority, and long-term high intake can cause peripheral neuropathy. Avoid stacking this formula with other high-B6 products without professional guidance.

How to use
Targeted use calls for professional context
Label serving size: two capsules. The current directions state that adults take one to two capsules daily with warm water after meals. A laboratory homocysteine result should be interpreted by a healthcare professional.
Important safety information
- Because the serving contains 50 mg vitamin B6, discuss long-term use with a healthcare professional and avoid combining it with other high-dose B6 supplements.
- High folate intake can mask some signs of vitamin B12 deficiency; clinical testing is preferable when deficiency or neurologic symptoms are a concern.
- Consult a healthcare professional if pregnant, breastfeeding, taking prescription medicine, or managing a cardiovascular, neurologic or metabolic condition.
- For adults only. Keep out of reach of children. Stop use if numbness, tingling or balance changes occur and seek medical advice.
